Investor Relations Manager
Overview
Join District Angels as an Investor Relations Manager and be instrumental in fostering strong relationships with investors to support our mission of catalyzing growth for early-stage tech startups in the DC area. You will be responsible for managing communication and engagement with existing and potential investors, articulating our investment opportunities, and ensuring transparency and trust in our investment processes. This role is ideal for someone with a blend of financial acumen, relationship-building skills, and a passion for driving innovation and entrepreneurship.
This is a volunteer role, but one with real influence over how our community feels and functions. Ideal for someone who wants to strengthen investor engagement, shape thoughtful group culture, and be at the heart of DA’s inner workings.
What You Bring
Proven experience in investor relations, fundraising, or related fields, preferably within the tech or startup ecosystem.
Strong communication skills to effectively articulate investment opportunities and financial strategies to investors.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including tech professionals at various career stages.
Analytical mindset with the ability to conduct financial analysis and due diligence on investment opportunities.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to optimize investor engagement and drive fundraising initiatives.
